You can buy fittings to repair the line but you probably will have to take the line off in order to flare new ends where the repair is being made, plus, if it's leaking in one spot, the rest of the line usually is in close to the same condition so i'd recommend just replacing the whole rear passenger side line which shouldn't be that much more of a job than repairing it...

The brake line should be replaced to ensure your safety. It it has ABS brakes, then a licensed mechanic wil have to do this.

Brake line leaking on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Rear line(s) above rear driveshaft and muffler.

If the lines are leaking you should have to keep replacing the brake fluid. If that's the case the lines MUST be replaced stay away from splicing if at all possible. If you have to splice use complete lines and join them with a brass coupler. FYI when applying the brakes your causing a force of 1200 lb of pressure per square inch, more in a panic stop. DON"T CUT CORNERS

2008 Mercury Mariner rear axle is leaking. Is there a possibility I can just tighten it down or will it require me to replace it?

You have to loosen the rear suspension on that side

Remove the axle nut & pull the knuckle clear of the axle

Then remove the axle on the side that leaks

Change the seal & replace axle, etc.

Line broke was leaking fluid then stopped leaking . no fluid comes out of abs unit on frame. is there a way to reset the abs unit to get fluid to rear brakes again

Replace the broken line then, you must bleed the entire brake system , each wheel works by itself on these cars, . Put the rearend in the air get the tires off and then find where the lines go into the ABS unit. Bleed fliud there first, then the individual wheel cylinders in the rear. after you bleed the system, check to make sure the brake system is balanced.

Best way to repair rusted main brake line to rear of car. do i have to replace the whole line or can i splice it? its rusted above rear axel

It is best to replace the complete line, if it is rusted and you splice it , another leak spot might spring a leak, when you last expect it, better safe than sorry.

Leaking break fluid from rear what is that coming

From your discription, if it is square in shape and has 3 brake lines attached to it, it is the rear brake junction block. Double check and make sure it isn't a brake line that is attached to it. If the leak is above the rear axle on back of the wheel, that's the rear wheel brake cylinder.

95 Lumina rear brakes/low pedal.

IT IS POSSIBLE THE WHEEL CYLINDERS are wrong and need too much fluid to push brakes out. or rear shoes are not adjusted correct. this could be from drums too big(unlikely since new) shoes are not fitting to drum correct. You can take shoes off and set them in drum the whole shoe should contact drum sometimes just the ends contact. If this is case sand off ends of lining to make it fit .
If wheel cylinders are bad they would leak. might try a different brand of cylinders.

Front wheel discs red hot after driving

They're turning hot because you clamped off the rear lines. Now the fronts are being overworked - they're heating up because they're doing 100% of the stopping instead of the usual 70% or so. Replace the line and bleed the system before you destroy your entire braking system.
