Where the brake lines run under my truck

We get a few of these questions

You have to step back & see it from our perspective

You say you have fluid under the truck

Is it brake fluid?
If so,wouldn't you get under it with a light
& see where it is coming from vs: going to the internet?

You don't assume anything,you inspect,look it over,
then ask a question

If you can change calipesr, rotors, pads, etc, you can find a leak

There are no diagrams for brake tubing
You replace what is there, anyway you see fit

That is a self learned skill, to fabricate brake tubing
& a job repair shops don't want or do well

There is no ready made lines, only straight tubing at
parts store & fittings

What special tool is need to bleed brakes on 1999 gmc sierra? Had to replace all lines due to rust. I can only get the front driver side to bleed. The brake peddle is like steeping on steel. ...

You can actually bleed each caliper at the brake line connection to the caliper...you will need someone to depress the brake pedal, or you can borrow the auto bleed brake pedal tool from your local auto parts store...sounds like you can fix this yourself...the symptom says..."air in lines"...Hope this helps.

I don't know about a diagram. Just buy some 1/4 inch brake line and run it as close to the original as you can.

power wire should connect through a 30 amp resetting circuit breaker directly to the hot terminal of the battery. Brake line should be the same.

Need to replace brake line from rear axle forward on a 1996 gmc sierra 1500 pu xcab. i need a diagram.

Chanses are it broke behind the gas tank wear it runs along the frame rail. You don't need a diagram to fix that, just unhook it at both ends and break it off or cut it off buy the tank and take the pieces with you to a auto parts store and they will match it up with new line, just take a tape measure and measure from the rear axel to the front block or perportioning valve, and don't worry about the piece behind the tank, just run the new line alongside the old one behind the tank unless you want to pull the tank out.

Engine stalls

You must have a cracked broken or loose vacuum line somewhere. Look under the hood with the engine running and listen for hissing. A stethoscope or a length of fuel line held to your ear will help. Wiggle the hoses around while you're looking.

99 GMC Sierra Fluid Leak Immediately after Getting Oil Change

as an owner of three gmc sierras, i can attest that the brake lines that run along the frame rail under the master cylinder inherently rust away and break. I wouldnt neccesarily think it was tampered with. but do check the condition of all of the lines including the fuel lines for excessive rust.
