There should be a red cable withusually 1 or more wires attached to it and thast cable goes to the positive on the battery. now find the black cable and it is generally coming right off the motor and hook it up to the negative on your battery. make sure both terminals on the battery are clean and the cable post clamps on the end of wires are clean as well. this will make your vehicle start easier and your battery will get a proper charge. i hope this helps,
