I have a swanstone sink in the bath, and the surface looks like it's white-ish. I've oiled it in the past, and that makes it look right, but the oil washes off. Is there a way to seal it?

SOURCE: Our 2001 Dodge Caravan seems to be leaking oil around drive shaft

Yes it's a bad seal and most likely the side bearing to the trans axle is bad too. Once the bearing has play, it vibrates and causes the oil to leak though the seal. Note: if one side went bad the other side is soon to follow since they have the same amount of miles on them. Might as well change both side. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep an eye on the transmission fluid level, don't want to burn out the transmission.

SOURCE: Have some white, milky looking substance on the dip stick

I'd be tempted to live with it depending on whether the vehicle is using coolant on the assumption that it is condensation causing the saponification of the oil. If the Lucas oil treatment caused the pressure to rise so dramatically I would suspect that some crud has come adrift and lodged in the pressure sender.
The chance that the cylinder head is cracked would be more rare than a leaking head gasket both of which could possibly be tested by a leakdown test of individual cylinders.
The water has to come from somewhere.
Does the soap go away when the engine is warmed up?

Testimonial: "Good point on the pressure issue, not using coolant. Dip stick had rust on it and so did the inside of the fill cap. Hot or cold white on the stick."

SOURCE: oil mixing with Diesel and car emits white smoke.

The copper washers on the bottom of the injectors can give this fault if they are not renewed when the injectors are replaced .

If you have changed these allready and made sure you pulled them down exactly as the manual says in 3 stages then you may have a bad injector - see your Isuzu dealer .

Oil pan gasket replaced 2 times still leaking try different types of sealer

Maybe the pan edge got damaged and is out of true. Find a flat work surface and lightly hammer out any uneveness so that there is minimum gapping between the pan edge and the surface. Make sure the pan edge is really clean (use brake clean) before applying gasket paste. If the pan is nice and flat you will only need a small bead of paste (you do not want to avoid excess sealant breaking off inside the sealed oil pan). Make sure the mating surface of the engine is also clean and free of oil. Do not over tighten the pan bolts, just firm/snug is enough and do them evenly around the pan.

1995 izuze rodeo its losing power and is blowing smoke out my exhaust what's problem help

is it smoke or is it steam , if upon having noticing that it is steam a possibal head gasket issue or corrosion of the head. if it is smoke check oil not over full . if smokey all the time and oil smoke (blue or white ish colour more inspection of compression test and other diagnosis needed but could be worn oil rings and some times still may have equal compression on all pots the oil ring is there to prevent oil getting into the combustion chamber while at the same time allowing lubrication of bore , when they weaken the oil that gets past burns in chamber and that's the smoke . there are other components like valve stem seals that can allow oil to escape into the combustion chamber buy from your descrition that's a good place to start

Loosing anti freeze 2001 tauras did pressure and head gasket check both passed what can it be

I own a 2001 Ford Taurus and two years ago it was losing anti freeze also. Found out that the plastic recovery tank located in front of right strut mount on fender well, had a small stress crack. It only leaked when engine was at opperating temperature. If that is not the solution, check all your spark plugs for a green-ish or yellow-ish color you have a cracked head. If they all have a light tan to dark tan color (on the white porcelin) you're good. One final check would be the crankcase oil. If the oil on the dip stick has a creamy look to it then your leak is in the intake manifold and also if the oil is oddly over full. If all these inspections turn up good you then have a external leak and need to have the engine at opperating temperature and park it on a clean surface over night. Inspect the engine compartment, engine and the floor with a LED flashlight not a regular bulb flashlight. The LED light will make the antifreeze slightly glow. If the heater core is leaking, the antifreeze will run out the air conditioning condensation drain hose, check with LED light.

if the oil thats drained out looks like regular dirty old oil then dont worry about it
if it looks pastie white then you got trouble

My oil is a thick paste

could be. the oils should not be like a thick paste. what is the color?

if it is black, then it is ok but if it is grayish in color, then it is already mixed with water.
that is a major problem. water and oil should not mix.

could be a broken head gasket.
