A 2006 Tocoma does't have a dip stick - Cars & Trucks

Hi Rudy Touvell, Is it an automatic transmission ?
IF Yes then there should be a dipstick sitting in a tube that would be heading under the car from the back of the engine bay going down to the Automatic transmission .

Maybe it is missing from the tube ?
    Is it a Toyota ?

WHAT PART OF 2006 TOCOMA DOESN'T HAVE A DIP STICK DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?

Rudy - If you want good answers we need to know what we are dealing with ?
That is why we ask you questions so that we get the full picture of what sort of vehicle you have ?
It may not have a dip stick but it might have a dipstick that is now on the road somewhere or was pulled out by a mechanic and was not put back into the tube where it should be sitting in ?
And if that was the case it might have something to do with why your transmission might be low on fluid

I have seen a car that had the oil cap not screwed into the engine when I noticed smoke from the oil spray coming out of the engine and burning on the manifold.
Luckily the cap was still in the engine bay rather than on the road somewhere. But this does happen where an important part can be missing !
A photo of the back of the engine bay would help as well .

2006 BMW oil dip stick?

The newer power plants do not have a dip stick for checking oil level. Oil level is checked by either the I-drive or by using the BC stalk.
