I have a 2005 Sable the heater fan won't shut off even when you hit the off button

Rhe resistor might be bad, I know you replaced it, but things come brand new and have defects

Wait for awhile to see if it turns off.
Fan is probably controlled by temperature sensor.
So it's sensing too hot

I am guessing here that there is a viscous fan hub on the fan and if there is then replace it. as well as my previous advice.

first check your fuses, then open the hood and check the connection to the heater, disconnect it and reconnect it , make sure the heater blower is on ,9 out of 10 its just a fualty connection

Usually a sign of a stuck fan relay.

Faulty heater control valve.Its located under the hood on the passenger side in front of the firewall.

Check the 30 amp fuse? don-ohio (:^)

try having someone turn the ignition to the run position while listening for the fuel pump to turn on. It should make a humming sound then stop. If not then the fuel pump or relay is probably bad. Could be the fuel filter if the pump runs but the car won't start. Do you also get a no spark condition? If so then ignition module is strong possibility of problem. Good luck

probably loose connector plug or the heater fan motor has packed up alltogether
