SOURCE: want to remove driver side door panel to gain access to power window motor

first remove the tweeter speker if equipped this comes off easily by gently prying from behind, then remove the small panel behind pull handle you"ll find a screw behind it\remove that, the next part is a little tricky the door grip needs to come off to achieve this place a small flat screwdriver at the top of the handle and pry forward the turn handle counterclockwise and this will release it from the clips you"ll then find 2 screws one at the top other at the bottom of door grip remove those and then gently pry from the bottom of the door panel to release the retaining clips thats it

SOURCE: Removing a door panel on a 1988 chevy C15 truck

There should be a couple of screws on the arm rest that you need to remove and probably one on the door handle then you need to find something to pry the panel off with, without breaking the plastic clips. They make a special tool for this that you can buy for just a few dollars at any auto parts store. If attempting to do it without the right tool be careful not to break the clips.

SOURCE: How to remove REAR interior door panel? Problem

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Cadlillac cts 2005 sun roof not working - where is fuse box for sun roof

Hi there:

Check Rear Underseat Fuse Block (Passenger's Side) that is located under the rear seat on the passenger's side of the vehicle.

The rear seat cushion must be removed to access the rear fuse block. See "Removing the Rear Seat Cushion" listed previously from the Owners Manual.

To access the fuse block, push in the two tabs located at each end of the fuse block cover. Then lift the cover off.

Rightside, rear window motor failed. or the mechanical part perhaps. what i want to know is how to get to that part of the car. The driver seat behind the panel. Thank you wery much! Patrik

Long job and not for the faint of heart.

Open roof to rear.

Pull up on rear seat bottom and remove it.

Remove center panel.

Remove three Allen head bolts down behind seat cushion back.

Lift off head rests...pull up.

Raise top just enough to make side flaps flip up.

Remove nut at top rear corner.

Remove Nylon/plastic push lock rivet where seat belt goes through panel... top corner.

Pull panel off mounting pins...will sound like your breaking it !

Lift panel to access seat belt bolt and unplug Flip-Up panel motor.

Remove cable from it's clip.

Remove loom thro' panel.

Pull seat belt thro panel.

Set panel to one side.

Remove Torxs bolts around black plastic panel for speaker.

Unplug speaker.

Pull loom thro' hole.

Remove two Allen and 5 hex bolts where window would come out. if it worked.

Pull up plate and remove rubber seal to one side and then remove plate. remove two nuts at bottom of regulator and one half way up towards front.

Lift regulator and window glass up thro' top to gain access to three nuts holding glass tho regulator.

Lift out window and then regulator....little maneuvering and levering required.

FYI....Take digital pictures as you remove stuff for later reference.

New regulator and glass is around $600.00 from dealership and only the dealership.

Audi 2005 A4 Cabrio...roof stuck partially down. How do I fix?

This has happened to my wife's 2004 A4 Convertible 2x's. I had to read the owner's manual several times to get the job done correctly (pages in the high 70's to low 80's) ...the following is offered from memory: The handle/tool needed to accomplish the task 'manually' is located in the fuse box on the LEFT SIDE of the dashboard. A small flat blade screwdriver will enable you to pry open the fuse cover & gain access to the handle/tool. Slight twist the tool and it comes out easily. Tool is a "T" shaped handle. Once you have the handle/tool IN HAND, simply turn the RED part (only) on the handle until it 'locks' in an open position. Leaves a small space on the handle. Can't recall if you go clockwise or counterclockwise, but it will be evident. Now...move both front seats forward and tilt them to gain access to rear seat. Remove the ski boot cover in middle of the rear seat and put aside. Then, 'click' the interior boot cover panel down to gain access to a 'hole' (about size of a 50 cent piece) in the top of the boot space. This hole allows you to insert (upward) the above mentioned tool into a lock/unlock mechanism in the rear deck just forward of the trunk. The tool needs to be jiggled to go 'all the way' in...you will sense that. Once in, TURN the RED part of the handle to "LOCK" the handle into the mechanism. The tool will hang down by itself. My approach is to 'store' the roof in the open convertible position first. The front portion of the roof should be partially forward as that appears to 'release' a lever within the roof's up/down mechanism to allow you to raise the rear window portion. Thus, lift (with that friend) the rear window portion up and forward (takes some effort). The roof now has a kind of 'clamshell' appearance front & rear. The front may even flop forward but tht's OK. This step exposes the rear deck. Twist the tool to unlock the rear deck. It should click & release and a small space appears enabling you to use hands (that friend again) under it (the deck). Lift the deck up & back until the hydraulics kick in and keep the deck vertically open. Now you are ready to tackle the roof & rear window for storage under the rear deck cover. Get a friend, if possible to help with the lifting...remember, this is a "Manual" job! Once here, gently push back & lower the rear window portion of the roof into the open storage area simultaneously followed by the remainder of the roof itself. Watch fingers for possible pinching in the levers, etc., during this part of operation Hopefully you now have the roof & rear window stored in the area in front of trunk and be able to lower the rear deck to almost closed position. If so, go back to the tool and twist it to 'lock' the deck in place with roof stored. Remove tool from the ski storage area by reversing procedure above. Now comes the "Moment of Truth"! With the ignition turned on and car running, use the roof switch to bring the stored roof up and all the way to the closed position. Don't forget you must keep your finger on that switch until the operation completely finishes. Then, reverse the process to open & store the roof for a good blow dry (drive)!

I went to put down my convertible top and it hit something in the back seat and now it is stuck. I had to manually put it down, the electrical part of it is still not working, Can anyone give me some...

I don,t understand how roof hit something in back seat
If roof is down you need to use special tool located end of driver side dash
Flip of plastic cover to see tool
Check owner manual how to use
The tool will locate between rear seat, this will close and lock rear cover
Make sure both sides of rear cover lock, get friend to press down
Once rear cover is locked down, remove tool, and check opperation
Make sure doors shut and windows down

2003 volkswagen beetle covertible quarter panel removal

I do not recommend this job unless you are a seasoned mechanic, VW dealership charges $1000 for a reason. They almost earn it on this one. but heres how it's done or how I did it any way. the complete job took me 4 hours and I been at this for 30 years. But a lot of this time was figuring out how it came apart. First, drop the top, pull up on seat bottom and remove it, remove center panel, remove 3 allen bolts at bottom on seat back and remove. headrests, they just pull off, raise top just enough to make hinged panels flip up. remove nut at top rear corner of side panel. you can see the back side of the nut and bolt it is on from the panels that flip up. Remove Nylon push lock rivet where seat belt goes through panel on rear, top, corner. Pull out on panel to release it, there is 5 or 6 nylon locks that just pull out of holes in the body. It will sound like your breaking it when the locks pop loose, or mine did. then lift to gain access to remove seat belt bolts and unplug flip panel motors. remove cable end from its clip. Pull seat belts through panel. Set panel a side. remove torx head bolt around oval panel that speaker is mounted on. unplug speaker and regulator and pull wire harness thru hole. remove 2 allen and 5 hex bolts at top where window would come out if it worked. pull up on plate and move rubber window seal to the side to remove plate. remove 2 nuts at bottom of regulator and one about half way up towards front, lift regulator and window up through top to gain access to 3 nuts that hold window to regulator, from the top lift window out first then regulator. Reverse to assemble it.
