Where is the 1989 bmw 750il v12 fuel pump shut off switch located?

I would call the dealer and ask the parts guy he may know and won't try to sell you service. if not that you can look in a chiltons repair manual at a auto parts store.

Removing the intake looks ******* the 750il m70 but its not. I took mine off and painted it glossy black with rustoelum. You will need to disconnect and remove your fuel injectors and wire harness. Then with a flat head lososen and remove both of your air filter housings then use a 10mm socket remove your throttles. Dont forget to disconnect the sensors in back of the intakes aswell. Use a 10 remove the intake bolts. The bottom bolts are tricky and hard to see you will need to remove the injector silencers which are the two small walls made of fiber and foil. They are located right between the intake and valve covers. A few screws at the top of the intake hold them in and can easily be removed. After that you will needa long extension to get to the bottom row of 10mm bolts. Use the openings you made by removing the silencers to get easy access to the bottom row. The bolts will fall after you unscrew them so i use a piecec of paper and jam it into my socket so the bolt eont come out. After you remove the bolts you can pull both intakes up at one time. It is in the trunk, drivers side almost straight down from the trunk hindge.

I've worked on quite a few beemers & they all had 2 pumps. The main is in the gas tank & the auxillary is under the car usually on the passenger side. I'm not 100% positive since all the ones I've worked on were the 3 & 6 series. Find the gas tank, should be under the trunk,I've seen them in different spots believe it or not. There should be an access panel in the trunk or under the back seat to the main fuel pump. Check it for power with the key on. Since it's not running, you may need a second person to cycle the key on & off. The relay will only power the pump for 5 sec or without starting. Do the same test for the secondary pump. I think you'll find the main one is toast. The other one hardly ever goes bad.

The M70 has two fuel pumps; one for each cylinder bank. One of mine died. I was able to access the fuel lines at the drivers side (US) rear of the engine. I spliced in a 10mm "Y" connector to the good pump and tied the two fuel rails together temporarily. Runs like a champ!

remove rear seat and look for plastic big round cap

have your bmw dealers check switch it might need to be replace.

check for a fill cap on top of the power steering pump.
