SOURCE: Hello! I have some problem with my Citroen XM

Hi, XMs were notorious for electrical problems. From what you describe I'm assuming that the engine is not actually overheating. There is an earthing point near the drivers side suspension strut (under the bonnet) which caused many problems.
There are a lot of wires connected to this point and what I used to do was remove the original fitting and connect all the wiring directly to the body using eyelet terminals and the original mounting bolt, making sure you have a good contact with the body by cleaning any corrosion or paint around the contact area.
I did, on another occasion, have a problem with the under-bonnet fusebox causing the oil / stop / temp lights to come on without any reason and it turned out to be a short circuit due to bad assembly at manufacture.
Have you had a diagnosis by a garage with Citroen equipment? It might be worth it now after all the work you've done with no result.Should only be a 1/2 hour charge.
Hope you find a solution. The XM was a car ahead of it's time.

SOURCE: 97 transport 3.4 engine- New radiator,

Are your cooling fans working? that will definately be a problem if not working. if they are working shut car off and feel the radiator is it the same temp all over or is it hot in only top or one smaller area. if you do not have same temp feeling on all of radiator your radiator may be plugged.

SOURCE: 1995 Impala SS over heating and fan won't come on.

The fan does not come on until the eng is approx 225f or the a/c is on. When th efan is on and the engine is hot, ck the temp of the air blowing through the radiator, it should be HOT, if its cool or luke warm, the raidator may be plugged.

SOURCE: 97 transport 3.4 engine- New radiator,

Check the operation of the cooling fans at the radiator. While idling disconnect the coolant temp sensor at the top left (drivers side) of the engine. It will be a 2 wire connector near the thermostat housing. When disconnected the coolant fans should come on immediately, if not you have an electrical issue with the relays or blown fuse. Check the fuses first in the underhood electrical panel. Next swap the cooling fan relay with an identical one next to it, if the fan works the relay is open.

Water pump is bad because overheats when engine is running at low speed, and good at high rev. The water pump impeller can not push the coolant with the required pressure.

Hi any solution for my 2005 407 16 hdi pls ?car wont start unless gas pedal pressed, and when it starts the car is not responding for gas pedal ,i press the pedal all the way down and still going slow

Sounds like your gas cable is loose or has slipped off the injector pump. It simply clips onto the pump. Locate your injector/fuel pump and check the wire cable going to it is connected. You should also be able to manually rev up your engine from there by pushing the fuel level back and forth. see how you go. All the best

No compression on peugeot 207 1.6

Mark the position on your distributor first Loose by 1or2 turns distributor unit bolts 2 or 3 of the mount of distributor and rotate left or right . Let somebody start the engine for 5 min and than rotate distributor half millimetre and you rev the engine and you feel quick rev up .For low compression is better to give compression test .

Please Check High pressure fuel pump. In my opinion your fuel pump connected to timing belt is giving away. When you increase rev on engine, the pressure increases as well. As a result, Injector spray pattern gets steady. But on revs below 900rpm it struggle to maintains required pressure. If everything in fuel injection system is working fine then the Worst case scenario is that the head pressure is leaking aka compression leakage.

Fan kicking in too often 1998 f150 4x4 4.6 tow

If the engine is not over heating then it is doing its job. The constant cycling is based on the temp of the air traveling through the radiator and the a/c condenser not the outside temp so much. The start up high rev is just how these clutches work in ford fans. It sounds like it is operating correctly.
