Will a trunk on a 92 buick lesabre fit a 98 buick lesabre

If you have a pair of "Channel lock" pliers, adjust them to just fit over the center bar of the nut and turn counter clockwise

You probably access it from the trunk. That's how on my '92 lesabre. You pull the bulb and socket from underneath. You may have to lay inside the trunk initially to pull the socket out.

Check in the glove box for a push button to open trunk. Also along the driver's side floor sill (between the seat and the door). Along the bottom of the dash on driver's side, check there too. My son has a '92 Lesabre, and there is no trunk release-only the key opens the trunk.

Remove the plate, then remove all the screws on the silver plate that is behind the license plate itself. There should be 4 other screws to remove. Once you have done this, open your trunk and partially remove the carpet behind the trunk etc--------------------------------------------------------------------------

move the catch assembly(mounted in trunk) up. bolts sometimes loosen up from use.

There is not enough information listed here to properly diagnosis the problem, so will I make a guess. I am assuming that the antenna won't go down. The antenna unit is in the rear wheel well on the right side of the car in the trunk area. Pull back the matting to expose the antenna. There you will see a wiring harness. Disconnect this harness. The antenna will then either stay up or down.
