Yes, your fuel pump is connected to the sending unit in the gas tank. Be careful not to stretch of break the wires connected to the harness on top of the tank. These are usually in a very tight place, and can sometimes be reached easier by supporting the tank and removing the straps, slowly drop the tank to where you can remove the harness, as well as the fuel lines. This job is usually more aggrivating than difficult. If you have never attempted this before, expect to take some time doing this! Hope this helps

If you look under the car between the rear axle and the fuel tank you should see the charcoal canister. The vent solenoid should be attached to the side of it.
