Battery problem? So a couple days ago my car decided it didnt want to start for me. when i attempted to turn it on, some of the electrical systems flickered on but died within seconds. I got my car boosted, but still wouldnt turn on or turnover at all. Does anyone know if this is specifically a battery problem, or could there be a problem with the starter or other electrical systems( a short somewhere)?

Hello, it's very likely that some fuses blew during the battery disconnect/cleaning. There are some fuses under the cover on the center of the dash above the radio, there is another fuse box under the hood, this is where the 100A alternator fuse is, check it and if it's blown replace it. Check all the other fuses using a 12 volt test light with the key on.
need to start with do you have any obd code with key turned on caddy is more complex system than most , check fully charged battery, and not a jump start, and battery is in very good condition .disconnecting battery would only clear codes leaving you with nothing to go on hopes this is some help to you.
could be a bad ground cable .replace battery cables if they havent been change in a while.if it still dont crank .remove starter have it tested.at advance auto parts and auto zone. if starter good.replace starter solenoid or relay.
This happens because the removal of the current to the computer or CPU gets de-programed. You may be able to solve the problem (if it comes up gain ) by disconnecting the negative cable with the engine off. Then renstalling it back after a minute. This will reprogram the computer.
Car is covered by a 3 year warranty, return to supplying dealer before attempting any fixes yourself. Power steering is electric on these cars, I'm guessing it's something simple like the battery.
