What light assembly ? tail lamp , headlamp etc.... Couldn't tell you without know what light assembly ! Have to look at a wiring diagram ! You could check it out yourself ,go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! click on wiring diagrams ,not TSB'S . Enter your vehicle info . year ,make ,model engine size ! Then under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click on which ever yours is , interior or exterior ! Good luck !!!!

Usually not a relay ! Could probably tell you if knew what make , model an year vehicle . You need to do some electrical testing to say for sure . Find a wiring diagram at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! There are videos for automotive electrical testing on you tube , how to read a wiring diagram , voltage drop testing etc.... If you have to ask on here your probably better off taking your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . Finding electrical faults is best left to a pro !

Carefully go back over every wire connection making sure that you didn't miss a wire color in the dim light under the dash.

have a short in the wiring near the lights.. bare wire somewhere.close to them..

Any parts store can tell you the correct bulbs for your Civic. Chilton manuals have wiring diagrams, most libraries have them. Some libraries are on line, so you can find them on your home computer. You will need a library card.

just use a multimeter or a test light, a test light can tell you what wires are hot and a multimeter can tell you what had continuity to ground.

The link below is a Typical fog lamp / driving lamp hookup. Keep in mind that in most states, for these lamps to be 'legal' (and thus pass inspection), you must wire them such that:

1. You can cut them off (in other words, there must be a switch installed to turn them off)

and

2. They may only be operated with the low beams. (therefore, you must power your on/off switch from the low beam circuit)

sounds like you probably just blew a fuse , check your fuses , there should be a diagram on the fuse pannel cover that tells you what each fuse is for.
