Did you change the fuel filter? Hit it with a shot of starting fluid and see if it fires, if it does you need to clean the system again but first make sure your emergency relay is not tripped.
Tack off the spark plugs and tray to star the engine to get all water about. During that you will know if the gas is going on or not you will smell it. Also tray to disconnect the gas line from the engine and run the gas pump to see what is coming out of it. Also check the gas filter may be it's bad.
Was it ran before water was discovered?. If so you may wind up needing to rebuild the engine.
You need to dry it out as stated. Water will not help your engine. You may need to flush the fuel lines with fresh gas. Use an additive in the gas to help absorb the remaining moisture.
SOURCE: 2004 kia sedona 6 cly ... how to change the spark plugs anyone???
Hope not too late to help. I have changed all plugs 2 times now myself. Mine is a 6 cylinder. The rear 3 plugs are impossible to remove without unbolting the intake manifold and other contraptions like the throttle/cruise control cable
and 4 inch air intake tube. If you have engine work experience, great!
If not, color code every disconnect then match up on the reinstall
including plug cables.
Here is where you might not know what to
do. First, the gasket (Planum) is a reusable metal gasket. Their is no
replacement at Kia (crazy but I asked everywhere in NC) so be sure to
tighten each bolt on the intake alternating and to speck amount, a 12
foot socket 1/4 inch wrench is plenty of torque so don't
overdo it. I believe 15 lbs of torque is correct but verify. If you
like taking risks just tighten using your wrist only (not biceps mustle) as tight as you can using wrist only now! [Rent a torque wrench or buy for $10 - $20 if you don't own one].
Since your doing all this work, change all plug wires and only use
Platinum or better plugs that last at least 60k miles of use. You wont
be able to change back 3 wires later by the way so buy 3 OEM Kia wires
(not the kit) to save money if you want. I mixed plugg types and mine ran just fine!!
Plan on 4 meticulous hours your first time. My 2nd time took 1.5 hrs with a short break.

Be careful there.. If you remove the Throttle Position Sensor TPS or the throttle Cable, the engine light will come on because there is a certain setting that needs to be done to ensure accurate emission control.
SOURCE: 2004 Kia Sedona keeps stalling
Your problem sounds like you have a bad crankshaft position sensor. You will not get a trouble code (check engine light). This will cause the vehicle to suddenly stall. You cannot change the idle on this vehicle, or any FI modern vehicle contrary to a previous post. It is controlled by the engine management computer by way of an idle air control circuit on the throttle body.

You'll need to remove the upper intake and throttle body. Involves unbolting and unplugging alot of things.
SOURCE: need to replace water pump in2005 kia sedona
The kia sedona water pump is an internal pump and needs to be replaced with timing belt service. if it is leaking, then you need to change the timing belt as well. probably not something you want to do in the back yard and will run you between 400 and 600 depending on your location and shop.
