Your tonneau motor is probably bad, though reprogramming the limits may fix it. You will need the factory tool, unfortunately. There is a lot of information on this webpage. Be sure to read the information relating to updates on 1995 models.

Had same problem, in the boot right hand side, behind the removable panel there is :
1 - a hydraulic reservoir which must be at correct level.
2 - a black box (stc) this controls the roof system,
switch ignition off then pull the 2 connectors off for 30sec then reconnect.
This worked and hope this resolves your problem

Try buying one of the manuals I have listed from ebay , the guy is a real gent and the manual is a fantastic help. Motros from Saab are not cheap but if the tonneau motor needs replacing, try here http://www.neobrothers.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=724 for a reconditioned one

Check fuses and relays first. Then check the wire connections at the motor. Sometimes the plugs get corroded and just need cleaned up and put back on.

5th gear failure and top stoped working

You may need to adjust the shift linkage. As far as the roof check the fuse; if the fuse is good; it could be the switch or the convertible motor.

93 convertible top wont go down

This happenrd to me the first few times after filling the tank. When the roof stops push the switch to up then back until movement stops then go back to down, eventually it will get rid of all the air in the system and the roof should start to work.

Windows will not stay up, they need reseting ?

Sounds like you may have broken so-called window glide rollers (aka window regulator bushings) which are the green plastic and metal clips that secure the window glass to the scissors lifts. Each window has two.
