I have never heard of a burned out brake light causing an abs light. The abs light is looking at the abs system and could mean a bad/dirty sensor, module issue, bad wheel bearing, etc. The abs should have a module to store an error code. Best to have it checked at a shop that can pull the code before you start guessing and throwing money at parts. At least pull the code even if you plan on doing the work yourself.

Hyundai trijet just had abs ring changed on passenger front now abs light stays on and hand break light stays on. Help.

If a wire was broken replacing the reluctor ring, this would be the ABS light. Not the brake light. Check the brake fluid, check the E brake pedal/handle. The rings do break, I just weld them back in place. If they are gone, it gets a new axle.

Could someone tell me what the ABS portion of fuse #7 is suppose to control as there are no ABS brakes on vehicle?

Abs sensors are not located on breaks, there is a control modgal that your break lines all connect to close to the booster. An abs sensor is located on the axel or wheel hub. Some cars do have sensors in the break pads but they are not related to abs. Some cars are equipped with abs computers and don't have the hardware, unplugging that fuse might prevent the abs light on your dash from coming on or make it stay on and either will prevent the vehicle from passing inspections and if you haven't a background in any kind of maintenance I suggest you bring it to a mechanic or a friend with experience if your having problems.

How do you clear stabillity controll light and abs light

Most likely yu cause a problem with the abs system since the stability control uses this system it will also illuminate when there is an ABS issue. If there where not a problem the light would have gone out. Since the light remains on we now something is wrong. Doyle check your work making sure you didn't accidentally unplug, break, or pull the wires out of a sensor. If nothing looks wrong than your next step is to check for ABS codes with a scan tool.

2001 jaguar s type. Traction controll fault light came on. 5 minutes later brake light comes on and at the same time abs light comes on. What could my problem be?

your traction control mechanism uses the abs breaks to slow the spinning and give you better traction. i'm thinking your traction control sensor has gone bad

operating errors in your ABS modulator. May be an issue with an ABS sensor. Get Vag-Com programme to interact with computer to solve. Or bring to Main dealer as you've got a reduced braking capability right now
