SOURCE: the rear oxygen sensor found on the catalatic converter

I'm not sure what type car you have, but I'm replacing the rear O2 sensor in my 2004 Honda Accord and it leads to a connector under the passenger seat. In my case, I had to push the passenger seat all the way forward and pull back the carpet a bit (luckily, it was pre-cut so it wasn't too bad). If you pull out the grommet underneath (where the wire feeds through). you'll see daylight when you pull the carpet back.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Where is the ambient temp sensor located on a 2002

Look in the grill area.It is easy to remove the grill Think there are 2- 10mm then the little plastic button fasteners. You try and pop up the centers with a little flathed.Once you have the top plastic off the grill will just pull out of the mounts.Pull at the mounting points.

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 2 for gmc sierra 1500 v8

Bank 2 is the bank that is farther back than the other when looking at eng from the front you will see that one cyl head is farther forward (closer to radiator than the other. this is #1 Bank) #2 is the opposite and sensor #2 is the one after the Catyliac Convertor towards the muffler. #1 sensor is between head and Cat.

2016 GMC Sierra 1500 pick up truck. How to replace an 02 oxygen sensor on it please?

You actually have 4 of them, an upstream and a downstream on each bank of cylinders. You only replace the one that failed. The code will tell you, Bank 1 or Bank 2, and Sensor 1 or Sensor 2.

Gmc sierra 2003 obd2 P0420

What size engine does your Sierra have?

Usually, this code points to a bad catalytic converter but not always... since the rear (downstream) oxygen sensor could be bad (this is the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter).

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON. WAS TOLD IT WAS THE 02 SENSOR/VALVE. WHERE DO I FIND THIS? GMC SIERRA 1500

You should have 5, O2 sensors on your Sirera. What are the DTC codes, each codes will indicate which O2 sensor needs to be addressed, or is this an answer with someone guess what the check engine light is saying.
Thye check engine light could be from a bad O2 sensor to just a bad or loose gas cap to a transmission issues.
Thank you for using fixya and note that Auto Zone and most larger auto parts store will scan DTC codes free of charge.
