How to replace dip stick tube

Usually Kurt there will be a bracket on the tube that secures it to the engine block. Undo the fastener that secures the tube and gently pull upwards while rotating the tube out of it's press fitting. To install a new tube or when replacing the old one...select a box wrench that is just a little bigger than the tube diameter and slide it down to the bottom of the tube until it is pressing against the seating flange. Make sure the alignment of the bracket is close to where you want it to be and then gently tap on the edge of the box wrench to seat the tube. A long handled screw driver helps in tight quarters. Secure with fastener.

How do I get the part where the plug for turn signal switch go thur this without cut and rewire it?

Take apart the tilt steering column, buy the small harness, and replace.
(Harness has turn signal switch, etc. on one end. Harness goes down the column, and plugs in; on the other end. Or cut wires, solder, and use heat shrink tubing. Slide heat shrink tubing up one wire BEFORE soldering. Slide down onto soldered connection of wire, heat ->heat shrink tubing )

I need to replace my heater core

The heater core is located above the gas pedal on the drivers side. You have to remove the gas pedal assembly first. Next there is a plastic cover over the heater core tubes held with a screw. Finally release the clamp holding the two aluminum in/out tubes to the core. Push the tubes slightly forward and out of the way. With a little effore it will slide out and the replacement can slide back in.

Hope this helps, James Booth

Thermostat replacement

HI there,

Well first of all you may please follow the steps below -

1. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat intake tube by loosening the retaining clip with a screwdriver. Slide the clip toward the radiator and pull the hose off the thermostat intake tube. 2. Remove the two 10-mm bolts that hold the thermostat intake tube onto the intake manifold of the Hyundai Accent. Pull the intake tube off the intake manifold and inspect it for cracks. If any cracks are present, then you need a new thermostat intake tube.
3. Pull the old thermostat and thermostat gasket off the engine with your hands and replace them both with new ones. The thermostat will be marked with "top." This end should stick out of the engine. 4. Place the thermostat intake tube back onto the intake manifold of the Hyundai Accent and bolt it back into place. 5. Slide the radiator hose back on to the thermostat intake tube and secure it in place with the retaining clip. A band clamp can be used in place of the retaining clip for extra clamping pressure. Post comments for further help or information............

How to change air filter 2003 mini

After opening the hood, locate the air filter box, which is just to the rear right corner of the engine. It is connected to the engine via a thick plastic tube.

Remove the tube clamp that joins the plastic tube to the air filter box. The tube clamp is a metal ring with a simple clasp on it. To release the clasp, slide the tip of a flat-head screwdriver in the opening and twist it to either side. The clamp will loosen, allowing you to pull away the tube from the air filter box about an inch or so.

Remove the two metal screws on the right side of the air filter box. They're located along the seam where the lid meets the bottom of the box.

Slide the lid to the left about a half inch; it won't go much farther than that. When it's as far to the left as possible, lift it off.

Pull the old filter out of the box. Give it a close look if you'd like, and if it doesn't appear particularly dirty, put it back in. Otherwise, discard it.

Put in the new, clean filter in the old one's place.

Put the lid back down so it's just to the left side of the bottom of the air filter box, then slide it to the right until it snaps into place.

Replace both screws on the right side.

Slide the plastic tube back onto the air filter box and squeeze the sides of the tube clamp together to lock it on.

How do i get the headlight out to replace? I found the metal release screw, but what type of tool do you use to turn it?

Hold on a sec!! If this is a new bug? Open the hood. Look to the left or right in the engine compartment. Find the long large tube that the headlight assembly slides into from the fender. There is a plastic lever on this tube. Move it to the other position from were it is now. Now go out on the fender and pull the headlight out of the tube. I used my finger nails to get it started. You may have to use a small screwdriver to get it started. Dont scratch the paint. Replace the bulb. slide it back into the tube and move that lever back to the locked position.
