Some key fobs are coded and if this is so you will need to take it to your Nissan dealer with all details of the vehicle i.e. Log book/title and vin number proof of ownership. There may be a small charge for this.

SOURCE: trying to locate cabin air filter on bluebird sylphy 2007.

I got Nissan bluebird sylphy and yes i found the cabin air filter behind the glove box but it is exactly behind it, it is located behind the centre console or behind the radio compartment at the very back close to the front body wall. Its a bit hard to get it. As long as you can find a honeycomb shape plastic then just remove it so it will route you to the cabin air filter panel. Note: at the very back close to the front/nose wall. Good luck.
