Try topping up the brake fluid reservoir and see if the warning light on the dashboard switches off.

I have a 2005 renault grand scenic that recently went in the garage for work and has come out with the 'parking brake failure' message on the dashboard. The handbrake is electric and is working perfectly...

A renault tech told me how to reset the electronic parking brake on my grand scenic without going to dealer, this works if you have had to pull the yellow emergency handle in rear which i have had to do this week.

Turn your ignition on without starting engine, have drivers door open and press lock button on keycard
put keycard in reader and press start button for 5 seconds.
pull large part of manual handbrake handle and push small button with red light without letting go of larger handle and you should hear the handbrake motor reset!

That should be it!

05 Renault Grand Scenic. No dipped headlights. Bulbs and fuses OK

Are u sure that the bulbs are OK? I had no dipped lights on mine, & thought it must be a fuse or another electrical fault. It turned out, both bulbs had gone. I think this often happens when one side goes, the other soon follows.

Our renault megane scenic which is 1998 keeps not starting sometimes it does and othertimes it just wont start for ages. we got aa out one time and they thought it might of been the key. its getting...

if the red light flashes on the dash its going to be an immobiliser fault, normally it is the key that is at fault, the keys are pricey about £80 plus programmimg, but you can manually override the immobiliser on the early scenics, just pop into your renault dealer and ask for your immobilser code, normally charge a tenner or so, and ask if someone can show you how to put it in.
