No crank no start, power going everywhere it should. nothing ??
I take help from online websites that have this service like helping in repair some like reliable-store have instant help.. others are a bit slow which I don't prefer... rest is up to u.. U can also get free manuals
Is it the same year engine and did all the sensors match and are correctly connected
Did you use you old starter? If you used the one that came with the engine try that one. Otherwise you must have missed attaching the wiring somewhere also check for fuses that may have blown during the swap. Check the 30 amp fuse #10 in the under hood fuse block, it controls the starter. If it good use a jumper to jump current to the gray/orange wire on the solenoid "S" terminal if the starter is good it will turn, if it just clicked check the battery cable going to the starter. I hope this helps, take care.

have u replaced the cam/crank sensor?
SOURCE: 1987 F150 302 ci. EFI, Automatic,
try over riding the starter relay on the fender ,it has one there right?. dont go to a mechanic yet. the engine aint seized. if it doesnt have this relay then i would get the alternator tested. if you want to test it yourself it can be costly for the right equip. autozone usually tests for free. i dont know were you live so if theres not an autozone. let me know if you cant get it tested.
SOURCE: HONDA CRANKS LIKE IT HAS NO COMPRESSION OR BROKEN TIMING BELT .
Remove the valve cover, and watch the cams while cranking it. My best guess is that one if them is not turning. This would explain why there is only compression in once cylinder. Sure the timing belt may be in tact, but if the cam guide pin is sheered off, and bolt that holds gear to the cam is loose, it will cause this.
SOURCE: engine cranks car won't start
Sorry..... 1 notch off is just not good enough. It has to be exact , then if it doesn't run start looking at other posibilities.
Remember that the camshaft turns twice eash time the crank turns once. The distributor rotor works off a gear on the cam.
Your rotor could be off a bit , or it could look exactly perfect the way it was when tou took it out , and still be 180 degrees off.
You have to get your engine to "top dead center" and make sure everything is the way it should be.
A timing chain ( or belt ) can cause permanent and fatal damage to the valve train and pistons in motors that are "interference engines" Find out weather yours is. In a non-interference engine , the clearance between the valves and the pistons is large enough to alow them to move out of time without crashing into each other. An interference engine is not so forgiving.
The fact that your engine cranks makes me hopefull that it is a non interference engine , and that damage has not been done.
Try to find a haynes manual for you vehicle , it will walk you through the steps for most repairs.
SOURCE: suspect 99 malibu broken timing belt
If its a 99 4 cyl 2.4 ltr it should have a timing chain. Check your PCV (positive Crankcase Ventilation) Valve. it should rattle when you shake it. sometimes you can clean it with carb cleaner. but for what they cost, just go buy a new one. When they plug up it doesn't let your crankcase breathe and you will start getting oil in your throttle body or carb. Gas engines don't like to run on oil for the combustion process.4 cyl engines dont have a pcv valve just the v6 motor...
