Most common problem is the tension-er pulley is bad remove the belt and check to see if any pulleys have play in them see if they wiggle back and forth normally the idler pulley bearing wears out and causes the belt to ride at a slight angle marking it throw off the belt. hope this helps.

SOURCE: remove battery on a ford

Hi

is this the type under the drivers seat? if so it is very tricky to get them out, persevere though and you wil get it. move the drivers seat as far forward as possible undo the connections and bracket and it will come out. by the way are you wanting to charge it up?? or are you replacing it?

Get back to me because there is another way without removing the battery.

Regards
Dan

How to remove the center armrest console froma ford escape 2002 model

there are about 8 torx screws (very small) near the hinge of the lid. remove those and the lid will come to remove the entire console, there are bolts on the back of theconsole accesible from back seat, and on the side of the console. easiest way to acces those bolts would be to remove the front two seats. they are held in by two bolts in front and two nuts under plastic covers in the back. raise the emergency brake lever and the console will slide up and be removed.

How do you remove the armrest from the driver bucket seat from a 1994 chevrolet silverado, it does not have the clip from the backside like the newer chevrolets?

It is possible that the role pin to remove the armrest is hidden inside the zipper cover. I do not know this particular vehicle, but GM did that to some of the vans. Some also have to require the removal of the actual seat and turn counterclockwise to "unwind" the armrest. Good Luck, hope this may help.

Need to remove center console to replace seat belt. After removing 12 screws, console is still firmly in place. What else has to be done?

  1. Remove the two oval covers from the sides of the floor console. Remove the four (two on each side) retaining bolts. Lift or remove the front seat center armrest from the floor console.
  2. Remove one screw from the top rear end of the floor console (directly under the front seat center armrest.
  3. Remove four screws retaining the utility tray beverage holder to floor console. Lift or remove the utility tray beverage holder from the console.
  4. Remove two screws (directly under the utility tray beverage holder) retaining the front end of the floor console to the console panel front mounting bracket.
  5. Lift the floor console from the front and rear console panel mounting brackets.

How do you remove the armrest on the front seats?

The armrests have covers that can be removed. Locate the zipper on the arm rest. Once you unzip it pull it toward the back of the arm rest and this will expose the one bolt that hold the armrest on. You will need a large torx and rachet to get it off. Once you take out that bolt the armrest will come right off.

Ford transit 2005 rear lights not working bulbs and fuses in main box all seem in order . thanks mark

Hi Mark

Check the earth wire to the van body from thr rear lights to the body and from the main battery to the body. is the battery under the drivers seat? if so ensure the connections are good and no loose wires.

Fords have a major problem with earth wires so check as many as you can.

If still no joy get back to me.

If it's similar to those in past, you don't remove the stud, you have to push it back in at certain angle & rotate it, to lock it back in. Something tells me it's at about 2 o'clock, in push hard and turn down to rest position? I know I've had to play with some before getting it to go as it's supposed to. If worst comes to worst, stop at a body shop, it will take them about 2 minutes in most cases.
