Are you sure about the fuses? There are 2 fuses in the fuse block on the right side of the dash both 10 Amp one is marked "crank sig" and the other is "PCM-BCM" there is another in the under hood fuse block it's a 40 Amp maxi fuse marked "CRANK". If they're all good suspect the transmission range switch. Have you tried starting it in neutral? There's a starter relay in the under hood fuse block you can try to swap it with another relay with the same number and lastly the ignition switch could be bad but this switch usually is not a problem. I hope this helps. Take care. If you have any more questions I can help you with use comment and it will show up in my email please let me know what you' done so far and if you have a test light.

All good just found out car has a chip in key, can I disable the theft system?

No. But do this 30 minute reset first. Turn the key to the start position then let it come back to run watch the security light it may be flashing or on steady but after about 10 minutes the light will change (if it was on steady it will begin flashing or if it was flashing it may come on steady, no matter what wait the 10 minutes) then turn the switch off then repeat this 2 more times this will reset the security system. If that doesn’t work do what’s called a systems hard reset by removing the negative battery cable and hold it on the positive battery terminal for a minute or so then reconnect and attempt to start. What happened just before it stopped starting. If this stuff doesn’t work fill me in on what else you’ve done so far. Does the engine run when you jumper the starter? Use comment and it will show up in my email.

SOURCE: does the starter for 98

Hello: When you turn the key to start is the securty light flashing? If it is the you may have a pass key problem. There IS NOT any fuse for the starter. If the security light is not flashing then you have a wiring problem.

Starter won't start on 86 buick regal FI 3.8 L already replaced starter & verified all fuses ??

i finally fixed this one.apparently the theft prevention system was no longer able to measure the resistor in my key. That thing that everyone refers to as a "chip" in the key is only a resistor, one of like 10 or 12 std values that computer is set to recognize. measured key res with meter, cut wires running to ign key contacts that read key and inserted a res = res meas on key.problem solved, theft prevention perm. bypassed! read somewhere the only ones this system prevents from starting car is the owner when it starts malfunctioning......how true

I ahve a 02 buick regal and it recently wont start but the lights radio come on. Please help

could be the starter solenoid. bump the big post and the little post on the starter with a screwdriver across the two posts. this should spark but the motor will try to turn over if the solenoid is bad. the key must be on and always have the emergency brake on.

Won,t start tried jump start hear click when i try

If you hear a click. Then take a hammer and tap the starter while someone is cranking on the vehicle. If it turns over and starts you have a bad starter.Check all the connections and make sure they are clean and tight. Also if you get it running have the battery and charging system tested.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Car will not crank. I can jump across he starter and it will start for 2 seconds.

Do your keys have a little resistor pellet in them. The problem sounds like the security system.
