My friend has a 1991 Cadillac Deville and the digital dash went out. are there any cures for this problem.

check your ground wires

Has the light been going to out slowly or happened all at once?

Have you turned the Dimmer all the way off or did you blow a fuse?

There is a Wheel or know that you can adjust the Dimmer on the Gauges, check and see if someone accicently turned it all the way off..

Under the dash on the drivers side.

Do you see a light that says SECURITY on the dash somewhere? This can turn off your starter and disable your car. Read about it on this link with options on how to fix it yourself.

bad plug or wire, dist cap, rotor button,vacumn leak or rocker arm off

turn the headlight switch pull it out then turn it. if that dosnt work check all fuses. under the dash and the other side under the dash were the glovebox is. if all are good u need a new cluster

Work the headlight switch round and round first. That's the dimming feature of the dash lights. Maybe they messed with it. Digital dashes have problems especially at that age of car. If nothing works see about a used one from a salvage yard

I have the same problem on my 96 DeVille. =(
