please be clear.
tail/ parks are dead, but parks on front and sides ok?
not brake lamps.
not turns, failing.
not reverse lamps.
only the rear of car lamps are dead. in park selected on the stalk, right?
every thing else works (matters this in electrics, all cases )
btw the FSM book is $4 to read, online. see link at end.
no need to be helpless with $4 in way.
the pages tell you 2 things how it works and where to put voltmeter probes.
rules for this car , seen at mitchells.
1: BCM car, (means the lamps are computer controlled)
the tail fuse is fuse 36, and if looks ok we test it
way because looking ok can be hair cracks.
so its got 0 ohms in hand or 12vdc both sides in car.
the fuse runs headlight #2 relay, (but is tail relay in truth)
see it in the schematic i do....
the BCM sees you turn on parks. at pin 9
then the BCM , energizes a transistor that in turn
engergizes the HL relay 2, and all park lamps glow.
my guess, you dont know there are 6 lamps.
so is the relay closing?
if not scan the PCM to see if there are BCM errors.
not scanning , now, can be endless tail chasing on all modern cars.
The BCM grounds 1 HL#2 relay pin to energize said relay
this is what i look for first.
if other 4 park lamps work, now's the time to say so.
as that is , a horse of a different color....
the real book is here for 4 bucks
