I have a 93 jeep cherokee that for some reason the wiper motor will not work can you help

check and test wiper switch

If you have power to the wiper motor and the motor will not come on then your wiper motor is bad. When the wiper switch is off their should be no power to the motor. When the wiper switch is on, power is sent to the wiper motor and the wiper then turns on. The relay is use probably to control the wiper speeds you select. I hope this helps.

you have a worn gear inside your wiper motor and it needs replacing

join a grand cherokee forum by googleing it and post this and all future questions there

when they do not work turn the key to the run position, the vehicle does not need to be running, and the wipers set to high speed whack the wiper motor with the handle end of a large screwdriver. if the motor starts to work replace it.

did you check the wiper fuse?

its a electronic board in back of wiper motor/ comes with new motor. just replace motor.

The wiper motor is under the the cowl/grill that the wipers are attached to. You need to remove the wiper arms and then the grill to access the motor.

Can you here the motor running? If not maybe a fuse is blown or the wiper motor is bad.
Can you move the wipers by hand? If you can then the linkage either popped off or is broken.
