I'll presume it's a US 1ZZ:

REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

REMOVE STARTER ASSY

Disconnect the starter connector.
Remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.
Remove the 2 bolts and starter.

INSTALL STARTER ASSY Torque: Bolt 37 Nm (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) Nut 9.8 Nm (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)

I have an 03 Toyota Corolla "S" and it was running fine then an hour later I go out to start it and it don't start. All you hear is the fuel pump and just one click. Whats wrong?

sounds like your starter is going bad. check the battery connections first. make sure they are tight with no corrosion. Maybe your battery is getting weak. try a jump start. You can have both tested at most auto parts stores.

toyota corolla has two fuse boxes which contains the diagram on its cover.
1. inside the engine compartment near the left fender
2. undernneath the instrument panel near the left hand side of steering wheel.

Remove or disconnect the following:
Battery and tray. On models equipped with an air bag, work must NOT be started until at least 90 seconds have passed from the time that both the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative cable is disconnected from the battery.

Coolant reservoir
Reservoir hose from the radiator
Right side under cover
Wiring clamp
Wiring from the starter
Starter

To install:

Install or connect the following:
- Starter
- Starter wiring and nut
- Starter connector and wire clamp
- Right side engine cover
- Radiator reservoir and hose
- Battery and tray
Check the cooling system and top off if necessary

2002 Toyota Corolla starter change out

Disconnect the battery.

Remove the lower plastic covers to aid in access.

Remove the battery cable lug from the starter and the signal wire.

Remove the two 14mm bolts holding the starter on and lower out the bottom.

*sometimes it helps the clearance to remove the oil filter.

All vehicles are different but the concept is the same. The spark plug is mounted into the cylinder head.
