If your talking about replacing your Forester Clock module, you can find helpful tips at www.subaru-clock.com. If your clock is not working, it is most likely the clock module, which can be refurbished inexpensively at the aforementioned site. A "dead" or intermittent clock display is a common problem with certain years of Subaru.

What is the interval for replacing a timing belt for a 2005 subaru forester

160,000 km major service. Anything over 150,000, think about getting it done, There's a set of bearing and the hydraulic tensioner (sometimes water pump) as well that should be done at the same time.

How do you get at the clock in an 04 Forester?

I have removal instructions on my website www.autoclockrepair.com
It is pretty easy to do, takes maybe 5 minutes. My tip is to remove the clock bezel when it is hot. Plastic is more flexible and less likely to break when warm. Good luck!

Clock light on dash has no fuse??? cannot locate

Just pop off the little storage compartment housing the clock, use a butter knife or thin screwdriver and start at the front edges. It should pop up with a little pressure. From there you can pull out the whole assembly and access the clock.

Subaru part number 85068SA020. It lists for $6

Sylvania bulb part #2723

My clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't light anymore. The dome light works so I know its not a fuse.

Is this for a 1999 Forester or for a 2004 forester, the title lists both years. If it is a 1999 model then the problem most likely resides within the clock itself. Unfortunately, many clocks of this vintage go bad over time. I offer a reasonable repair service and many clock removal instruction sheets at www.autoclockrepair.com
I'd be happy to assist.

I want to replace to dash clock in my 2005 subaru forester, the clock works but the light is out and you can not see it when its dark

The entire assembly housing the clock and upper storage compartment pops out. With a butter knife of thin flathead screwdriver simply insert at lower leaf or right side of assembly. Use a little force to pry up and the side of the assembly should pop. Repeat on the other side, remove assembly. From there, you should have access to the standard auto illumination bulb.
Let me know if I can assist further.

Describe how to change fog lamp (just the bulb) on 2005 subaru forester. As far as I know the fog light assembly is fine, the bulb has just burned out. If you know which bulb to use please let me know,...

2005 Forester - It is easiest to remove the fog assembly.

1. From underneath the vehicle pry out one plastic fastener to be able to bend the light weight plastic mud protector downward. You will see the underside of the fog light assembly with one 10mm bolt directly above you. Remove this bolt.
2. From the front of the vehicle unscrew one 10mm bolt at top of fog light (this is the shorter of the 2 by the way) and pry out one plastic rivet adjacent to it.

3. Carefully remove the fog assembly and disconnect 2-pin power connector by pulling up on the release. Carefully wiggle the housing out (no force req'd).
4. Unscrew the back from the housing and replace H3 bulbs. Take care not to touch the bulb while replacing.

5. Reverse to install.

Should take an hour at most.
