2004 infinity g35x sedan. Running fine all at once lost power and cut off now won't start. It tries to start every now and then.

i just fixed this problem - the switch is bad - take out the seat - 4 bolts on the bottom 4 corners and then remove the whole switch - either buy a new one around $200 or unsauter the switch and clean it but be careful as there are a lot of parts inside that can fall out. i cleaned mine and it works fine beats spending the money.

Unfortunately, these are not very simple. If you have a factory high mount brake light-meaning not one in a spoiler, you have to remove the rear seats, the rear parcel shelf and then the 3rd brake light. the 3rd brake light I believe is an LED setup which get replaced as an assembly which inserts into the housing.
