2003 Jetta 2.0 L Engine, MIL and EPC Lights ON

I have a 2003 VW Jetta with a 2.0L 115 hp 4 cyl. engine. I was driving the car and suddenly the car stalled, after starting the engine again the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) and the EPC (Electronic Power Control) light came on and stayed on. I am afraid to drive the vehicle again, does anyone know what the problem could be?

I have a 2003vw jetta the epc light is on and the will not come out of park nor the stop lights come on,I have already changed the brake switch and still won't work..

EPC light should have nothing to do with the shift interlock,(EPC is traction control) should be a small cap or plug on the console, near the shifter that has the interlock disengage button, usually done with a key, check shift interlock in the owners manual.

05568 mil request signal active check tcm for error. P1624 not a plausible signal

First off, let's simply define the OBD-II Trouble Codes:
Yes, 18032/P1624/005668 are the three codes that indicate "MIL Request Signal Active."
So, what does THAT mean (in plain English)??? This means that Fault Codes are stored in the TCM. SO WHAT'S THE SOLUTION?

2000 VW JETTA VR6 lights on everywhere!!

Believe it or not, this could be a mass airflow issue. The mass airflow can trigger the lights the ASR and the EPC lights. When i gets really cold, the airflow sensor sends signals to the CPU to readjust the air/fuel mixture.

EPC means Electronic Pedal Control. Fly-by-wire for your gas pedal--instead of a mechanical cable that pulls an accelerator linkage on the engine, there's an electronic device on the gas pedal, an electronic device on the throttle body and a wire between them.
You should check the sistem with diagnostic tool.

My check enging and EPC light suddenly came on in my 1999 VW Jetta VR6. I was wondering if it was something that needs to be fixed soon or not? There seems to be nothing wrong with the car otherwise that I...

check engine lights mean that a sensor is not giving the computer a signal within an acceptable range. when this happens the car will go into "limp mode" which means it doesnt use most sensors and will guess what it should do. you can continue driving and cause no additional damage but you will use a little more gas than normal. You should get it fixed but it can be put off till you have the money and time to do it.
