W/o year--make--model, not much I can tell you? Battery has a full charge and connections all good? Check circuits at starter motor. Usually two voltage circuits, one comes from the battery, hot all the time. The other circuit usually goes hot with key in the crank position and may be wired through neutral switch and possible starter relay. The starter motor usually grounds through the engine block. Any testing, make sure transmission is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Make sure vehicle can't move.

SOURCE: 2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

ignition the starter was (winding ) ???as soon as I reconnected the battery. The starter cranks the engine !It's really called a cranking motor not starter . Do you know where that comes from ? Before electric starters you cranked the engine by hand . Suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop.

Installed brand new starter, battery fully charged, and still wont crank. It starts when I kick start it. 1988 nissan pathfinder. What else could be the problem? Relay switch? Or ignition? Please help

Check the ignition switch, and the wiring to the starter solenoid. Get someone to turn the key to the crank (start) position and check for voltage at the starter solinoid. Check the starter relay and all fuses.

Starter or ignition switch

It's either your ignition switch or ignition switch wiring, lines for the starter relay is short circuited at some point and it keeps the starter running, ALSO it might be a stuck starter relay, so it helps changing the starter relay first and then if the problem still exists have the ignition wiring and ignition switch checked. Hope it helps and comment if you need more advice. Please don't forget to rate the answer it helps me with my ratings. Thanks!

95 F150 wont crank

the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.
