My 1998 cadillac concours just gave me the code 730

The P0730 code indicates that there's an incorrect gear ratio in your automatic transmission. reasoon may be Bad or dirty fluid in the transmission. Low fluid in the transmission. Broken mechanical components within transmission.

I have seen this to be a false code before....First make sure trans fluid is at correct level and no leaks..,make sure it shifts correctly while driving...Set park brake,wear safety glasses..Disconnect Negative battery cable for 10 seconds to clear code and reset computer...Reconnect and then test drive...If light stays off it was a false code...It could be a simple problem but save time and money and have it scanned at dealer...

There is no one fix works for all on these code. Also you have left out the letter and one number of the code I assume these are P0730 and P0733, if so read on.

2000 land rover discovery II, i have po734, po171, po174 and p1172,po1175, what can I do?

CODE PO734 A / T ADDITIONAL GEAR RATIO ERROR IN FOURTH GEAR, POSSIBLE CAUSES; RELATED DTCS WILL BE PRESENT, TRANSMISSION SOLENOID PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY HAS MALFUNCTIONED OR FAILED, INTERNAL TRANSMISSION MECHANICAL PROBLEMS MAY EXIST, INTERMITTENT GEAR RATIO ERRORS ARE PRESENT.

The starter motor is located under the intake manifold.Will require you remove the feul rail and wiring harness to get the intake off.

Hello. The most likely cause of your problem is that the heater/AC relay is on it's last legs. This easy to change. Go to any auto parts store to obtain the part, and ask them to show you where it is located [under the dash]. Then just unplug the old and plug in the new. Possible that wire could be loose,but i would rather suggest that resistor on the blower might be the problem.The second possible problem could relay, but it would be a rare occurence that relay goes bad.Hope I could help.

i have the exact same problem we switched it twice thinking the transmission was bad and well im here trying to find an answer

Have you changed tires and wheels to a different size? If so, that will cause a code to come up. The gear ratio is set as a value in your computer. If you change tire sizes that will cause this problem. You can have this recalibrated at your Pontiac dealer. Good luck! Phil
