They all do this at some point...it is common with the radio in these cars.
Put your car make and year and radio problem in Google and you will fine places which fix just this problem.
You send the radio to them....and they re solder the connections to the display in the radio and send it back.....at a very reasonable price.

Does the radio work at all. or is the cd player the only issue.? most of the time you need to enter a radio code to unlock the radio. If you enter it wrong to many times it will display error on the display.if you dont know the code then you can call the dealership and get the code after you do the following below to get the serial number.
Press and hold 1 and 6 on the radio while still holding the 1 and 6 press the power button. At this time it will read off serial number

Toyota highlander problems

It is more than likely the radio! If you are getting static from the speaker. The problem is either a channel circuit amplifier gone or the balance control. Could try swopping the speaker wires on the back of the radio, see if the fault transfers to the other speakers.

I have a 2005 Cadillac STS. The sound cuts off on my radio/ cd player after a little while if playing. I don't think its the speakers or a loose wire since the sound comes back as soon as I change the...

no quick fix there. Dealer would be best option. There have been many issues with the STS, XTS CTS, and ATS radios.
Most problems relate to XM radio, but the issue you mentioned seems to lean toward the "replace it" path.
Best to check with a dealership to see if there is a recall.

2003 ford expedition, eddie bauer, cd player has stopped working. I took the cd player out. Can I just replace the cd player instead of replacing the whole radio unit? I can't seem to find anywhere to...

Unfortunately not. The first thing I would try to do is get the cd player fixed by an audio store in your area. If it cannot be fixed, you will have to replace your radio unit. Let me throw this at you. I have invested in a whole new sound system in my vehical. I am not saying that all of your speakers need to be replaced, but an aftermarket stereo unit is more fuctional and stylish than than your stock stereo unit. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
