I have the same problem switch seems fine and I can hear a click under the center dash when I operate the switch I had several replies about the same problem that was fixed by replacing the wiper motor , They run about $ 65 dollars but It will be alot cheaper than having a Mech replace the switch

The wiper switch is most likely at fault. Have a mechanic take a look at the switch.

92 crown vic lx ... I changed the wiper motor, switch and the power train Control module. Still don't have wipers!! Any suggestiobs??? Thank you!

1. Access the interval governor located above the warning chime
under the driver side of the dash and disconnect it.

2. Install a jumper wire between the Dark Green (DG) wire and the Yellow/Red (Y/R) wire.

3. Install a 2nd jumper wire between the Dark Blue/Orange (DB/O) wire and a Black (BK) wire. Either BK wire of the module should work, both are dedicated chassis grounds for the module.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the Run position and verify that the wipers are running on low speed.

5. Disconnect the jumper wires.

6. Connect an ohmmeter between the Dark Blue/White (DB/W) wire and the Brown/White (BR/W) wire.
With the wiper switch in the OFF position, resistance should indicate about 47,500 ohms.

7. Move the wiper switch to the low speed position, resistance should change to indicate about 4000 ohms.

8. Move the switch to the high speed position, resistance should change to indicate less than 100 ohms.

9. If the wiper motor runs and the switch resistance checks as stated, replace the interval governor.

Wipers only work on high speed. washer pump work too. I have no low speed or delay for wipers. Is this a switch problem or is there a relay modual under the hood that could be bad

Hello, this is a very common problem for Chevrolet. Your wiper motor control module is bad. It's mounted directly onto the wiper motor. On some models you can replace the "pulse board" inside the control module. If not you need to replace the entire wiper motor control module. It depends on your level of skill and parts availability.

Where is the wiper control module on a 2004 crown vic

i believe it is part of the wiper motor which should be located in the driver's side rear corner of the engine bay, on the firewall. Many 03 and up Fords use a "Smart motor" for the wipers which has the motor and a module in one piece.

here is a diagram

Wiper

Odds are your wiper control is faulty and you may need to replace it which involves removing 3 screws that secure the assembly to the steering column.

Wiper motor replacement for a 99 crown vic

I replaced the same part on a 1994 Crown Vic. There are a few bolts which go through rubber mounts on the firewall and that is how the wiper motor fits against the firewall. There is a clip on the wiper drive that must be pressed and slid off the wiper shaft. The hardest part was getting clearence between the engine and wiper motor. If I remember there was a way to turn the wiper case to clear the engine. I have asked myself why this was engineered like this? There is nothing important in the way that 3/4" of clearance could have been given for removal.

Wipers

It's probably going to be the switch arm itself.

The part is a bit pricey, but it does come with the wiring diagram to place the new one in there.

The switch is the whole thing, turn signal, wipers, etc, and the arm.
