Comand aps for mercedes C (w203) doesn´t work any more

I´m from Portugal and i have a Mercedes Sport Coupé C 220 CDI (w203) from Jan2005. 2 weeks ago the Comand Aps (NTG2) stopped working. Then nothing works - Radio, telephone, CD box, etc.
The only message that apperas is: "insert navigation dvd" and after "rebotting the system". This information apears with and without the key in the ignition. I insert the navigation dvd and nothing happens.
To stop it i had to remove the fuse of the Comand, otherwise these 2 messages apears night and day.
I take the Comand to reppair and told me that i have to buy a new one.
Someone told me that could be a firmware problem…or a software problem….

This problem with the Comand happened 1 weeks after the manutence service (120.000kms) in Mercedes Office.

Hi My Mercedes W203 Comand aps do not work any more, it just says insert navigation dvd and non of the options work. Can anyone help?

Have you had dead battery? cause to jump start,or a new battery installed? Problems arise in the MB SAM unit in the trunk if proper procedure is not applied..It an destroy the SAM unit,cause a coule gage indicator problems,etc..Take it to or dealer..MB is nice,but finicky car Good luck...you may spend up to about $300 on this though..

Your listing shows a 2000 Pontiac Montana...your question relates to the Mercedes? On the Pontiac, there are only 2 wire connectors to the engine starter motor...They use different sizes to match the connecting wires...

I have a c200 cdi mercedes from 2006 (w203 model). in cold mornings (0-2 C) don't want to start. everything works, lights are on, dash is on but engine don't start. i have replaced the battery

Hi
It sounds to me like it could be a glow plug fault !
The glow plugs heat the diesel before it combusts. An easy way to diagnose this is check your exhaust after cranking on a cold morning if you have thick white smoke then you've probably got a glow plug down on 1 of your cylinders or maybe more

Sat nav stopped working

Mercedes commans sat nav version 4.1 for E220, is saying off road, and when at home is showing on map that I am somewhere in the National Park Peak District. I have been told to remove fuse for sat nav should be no 28 but in boot of car near sat nav cassette fuses in box only go upto 20. Am I looking in the right place?

Watch DVD on Comand Aps Mercedes R320 CDI

Rui,

Not sure about the European version, but the American factory version will not play video DVD's while the vehicle is in motion, (Drivers area) due to laws against this. Also...just to cover the non-factory installs, most aftermarket indash DVD players have a safety switch which prevents the driver from playing DVD movies while driving the vehicle. The vehicle must be in park for the DVD player to play a movie.
