I have a 95 S-10 with a 98 4.3 and the transmission went out. Wanted to know if a 94 tranny would work since thats the year i have ran across in my search?

Should be no problem with bolting up, check the electronic plug as 94 was the conversion year from manual to electric with reagrds to shift solenoids.

If its the automatic its the same. 4L60E. If it had a trasnfer case and it's goin into a vehicle that doesnt, that could be the problem.

What year transmissions will fit in my 94 jimmy automatic
GM is notorious for one size fits all, so most any 4x4 transmission will fit. I would stick to close years that can provide the same style transmission, like 700r4 or 4L60, so the electrical just plugs in. Hope this helps.

4l60e tranny swap
No the 4l60e is a electronic transmission you need to find a 700r4 transmission which are very common. Check with your local junk yards and are pretty easy to install. About a full days worth of work for a person with general know how of vehicles.

2003 acura tl won't crank over.
Sounds like tranny froze up. Not what you wanted to hear, but the shop that put the tranny in should have given you a warranty. The lights came on, because the engine stalled. Please rate me if you find this helpful, thank you.

Call a local Wrecking yard and ask them what the interchange is. I know there are some ratio differences between the years. And you have to match the front and rear tooth for tooth.

The only thing that can make the noise is the transmission front pump, if the trans works ok try changing the fluid and filter, it may help or reduce the noise.
