Power windows quit working

If it's the only window that isn't working it has nothing to do with the fuses. You do not have a separate fuse for each window. If the power window fuse was removed and not placed back into the correct slot, all of your windows would not work. I would start at the window switch and see if you have power to the switch, then move on down the circuit to find the issue. If you end up with the motor getting power when you activate the switch, but nothing happens replace the motor.

Motor is overheating due to drag in the window tracks or possibly shorted windings. Try using silicone lube spray in the tracks. If this doesn't work, you probably need a new motor.

before you change the window motor check to see if you are getting power to the motor frist it could just need a new window
switch but if you need to change the motor the only thing you need to get the rivets out is a drill and a drill bet and they will come out

If you have power to the window when you push the switch up and down and the window does not move then try tapping it while pushing the switch.If it moves then you need to replace the window motor.What happens sometimes is they hit a dead spot and will not work.I have had a few of these do this and when I tapped on them they started to work.If you don`t replace it it will eventually find that dead spot again and will quit working.It is best to replace the motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know what you find.

undo door panel, apply 12v directly to window motor, if nothing happens replace window motor

Yes, the power window switch is often faulty, because there is some sensitive electronic making that "auto rolled down". The 4x-switch is quite expensive, 260EUR =( So, I make some new connection. The faulty electronic is only for front windows, so now I connect wires so that I can use front windows with read window switch. (Rear windows is still working by those 2xback window switch) which is located between seats. Here is the conncection, at one's own risk. That 4x-window switch has 14-pins connector: Connect the back windows wires 8(blue/white), 9(red/black), 1 (grey/blac ), 2 t(green/white) to the ground wire 4 (black). Front windows wires 14(blue)->8 13(white)->9 3(white/violet)->2 7(black/blue)->1 If the manufacturer didn't use that "auto rolled down" function, there is no worries of power windows. Also illumination of 4x-switch goes down quite soon, leds will be better. There should be a relay. Probably located in the PDU box under the hood. If not the motor might be going bad.

I would check the power first to the motor.
IF the power to the motor is good. Then safe to say the motor/ regulator assembly should be changed.

The same thing happened to my 1999 JMC Jimmy recently. I believe the problem is that your power window motor has most likely gone out or is starting to go out. The motor will need replaced. They are pretty expensive new. I went to a junkyard and got one for around 15 dollars. When mine went bad, I had rolled my window down about three or four inches and it stuck there. I took my door panel off and tapped on the motor while holding up on the window switch and got it to go up after a few minutes. I am replacing my motor today, I'll leave an update here about the outcome when I finish the job. I hope this information helps you.
