You need the serial number from the radio to get the radio code. On your model, there is a rectangular trim bezel around the radio and ac controls; you can remove it by prying forward with a flat instrument, it is secured with clips, no screws. Once it is out you can unscrew the radio and pull it forward to see the sticker that will say "SERIAL NO." and a 7-9 digit number/letter combination. Provide that number and I can retrieve your unlock code for you.

I read on another site that if you get locked out, your radio will show OFF. All you need to do is keep your radio on for an hour. It will reset itself. Your car doe not need to be on. Not sure if this works, but it is worth a try and may save you $80!!

If you call a local dealership, they can give you the code. You'll have to give them the serial number on the top of the radio so that requires it to be pulled out of the dash which is actually quite simple. Just dont try to enter more then three wrong codes. Then you will have to get the radio re-programmed with a new security code and that will cost around 80 bucks

The radio is asking for a code and the interior lights doe not work.

For the radio some of them do this if the battey dies or is disconected the code should be with your owners manual if it is now you will have to get it from a dealer. They may need the sereal number from the radio (not just the cars VIN number but the number right on the radio which would require disasembly of the dash.

Rodio code for 2001 mitsubishi galint

As with most cars manufacturers, they use radio codes to prevent theft. Which means that every radio would have a different code. The only was to get the code for your radio would be to take the car to you nearest Mitsubishi dealership which with proof of ownership they can take you VIN number and supply you with the code. This wont work however if the radio was replaced with one out of another car which then you would have to pull the radio out and look at the serial number which the dealer could also help you with. The other option would be to find a card that is included with the owners manual that would have the correct code printed on it.
