The ABS/Traction-control light might be manually turned off or there is
a fault in the system. It rechecks and reactivates when the car is
restarted, so you are likely experiencing a system fault.
If the ABS light does not go out soon after the engine is started there
is likely a problem in the control unit wiring or the pump. If the
light comes on soon after the car is first in motion it's likely that a
wheel sensor is the problem. If you are willing and able to put the car
on jack stands, removing the wheel sensors and cleaning off any metal
dust or filings usually clears the fault.
It could be sensors, pump, relay, or control unit.
Maybe you need removed the ABS pump and re-wired it completely, 9/10 times it's the wires in the ABS pump corroding, so most likely it's that.
Other, if a speed wheel sensor is bad, the abs light will come on when you use the brakes.
I hope help you with this.

The light is on because the ABS is not working. Selling the car with this type of defect is stupid. If you disable the light someone may get hurt because you are to cheap or lazy to fix the problem. Make an appointment with the dealer to have it fixed properly and have the piece of mind that you are not putting someones life in geopardy.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery negative wire for 20 minutes? This might reset the light.I hope this helps you.
