I have mercedes c200, 1996 model. the air conditioning compressor is working but the fan ( blower ) is not working, i want where is it? and how to take it out for checking?.
On a right hand drive vehicle you will find the blower motor just under the cubbie hole.Slide the 2 levers and the cover comes off.Use a spline to remove the motor. You must change the brushes and please make sure the replacement brushes are of the same grain else you will damage the commutator

The main common reasons for the causes of broken air conditioning systems in vehicles are caused by either leaks or compressor issues. If your air is blowing cool but not cold then the problem could caused by a clogged filter or a cooling fan issue or radiator problems or it could be very simply that you need to recharge your AC. A mechanic would need to have a look at your car and see why the air conditioning unit is not working.
When you say "kick off," do you mean that the fan shuts off, or that the compressor cuts off? (Unclear.)
If the fan is shutting off, check your fan control switch, blower resistor, and blower motor.
If the compressor is cutting off, check your refrigerant level, and the compressor cycling switch.
Under the dash . Remove the glove box to see it. It is the sampling fan that blows cabin air past a temperature sensor to allow the automatic heating system HVAC to keep temperature you set, steady.
The HVAC will work just fine without it although you may have to fine tune the temperature setting from time to time.
You may need a mechanic for this. In most cases the radiator fan is not pulling enough air thru the condenser when you are not moving. Either the fan is not running or there is a blockage.
The problem is the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located near the blower motor in the housing. I exchanged mine and it works like a charm now.
If the freon is full and the compressor clutch is working,is the blower working, need more details, if it is, you could have a blocked orifice filter. or a bad high pressure switch located at the rear of the compressor.if the high pressure switch loses voltage or goes out, your cool air will come to a dead halt. check the high pressure switch for voltage. good luck!
The refrigeration system in all vehicles should be repaired by a certified HVAC technician or equilavent. Dealing with R134A the refrigerant used in your vehicle is dangerous. The electrical checks to determine the repair are difficult and depending on what the problem is are costly and may involve removing the refrigerant with special machinery
to replace a sensor or major item in the system.
Lastly in most states its illegal to purchase refrigerants and /or render repairs on a/c systems without the proper certifications.
In your case it appears that the blend doors or blower motors are not working because you stated in your write up that compressor is on and refrigerant is a-ok.
Have a technician check this out. May have to remove dash board to do testing. This is money well spent.
