Hyundai SFE 2009 model Hazard lights work fine, but when I go to use the directional indicators they dont work at all.
First turn the 4 ways on and off several times. If that does not help, check the fuse for the turn signals. Your manual should tell you where it is. If it is ok then go back to the multi function switch to see if that is where the problem is.

I have the same problem - it is the relay switch attached to and behind the hazard warning triangle on the dashboard. Pull it all out (gently and replace (£60 ish). The indicators and hazard lights are on the same relay circuit. This is a well known problem for this car (amongst others - how about the wipers sticking)

The Hazard and turn signals share the same relay module located in the dashboard behind the hazard switch. Remove the trim by prying from the sides (Either side of the Cup holder drawer and Card drawer). Pry the hazard switch assembly out from the dashboard. The relay is part of the hazard switch assembly.
Unclip the wiring terminal from the relay. replace with appropriate relay. Part costs under $50.00 delivered from Import Parts Specialists.

check the fuse sounds like that has blown as hazards work on a relay indicaters are off a fuse

i believe the audi uses two relays for the turn signals and hazzard lights so it would appear the turn relay has failed. it should be located under the dash near the steer column.... seems to me me they have some shielding under the dash so it may be hard to get to.
