if the park brake warning is on and the park brake is inop. there are several common problems with this system, the most likely causes are 1 the rear brake caliper sliders are part siezed or the pads siezed in the caliper frame 2 the wiring to the park brake motor open circuit or rubbed through on the rear subframe.3 the park brake motor has failed, you really needto get the fault codes out of the park brake module if the above checks out ok the above faults i have found to be the cause 9 out of 10 times. hope this helps.
I had the same thing here, I paid lots of money to find out what is the problem, mechanics played with my poor car damaged everything they can to stop it from running, but when I found out that when I changed the battery on my own, with a turkish manufactured battery of 100 A big battery, not even the fault stopped appearing but all the car was boosted in performance, Dsc not available and Park Brake is all related to the level of electricity running the parts of car was screaming back to you, change my battery, all parts of Jaguar runs on electricity, main computer now runs faster, no delay on screen, and now Dsc not available once ignited doesn't appear anymore, remember that once car is reset by battery change, you need to apply brake and boot (step on brak and hold park brak lever up at the same time with pressing computer button on stearing whisk for like 10 sec until you see on screen AVE back again), and bypass radio lock by pressing on the three buttons, mem and the right combination with >>, and you're set
First check your park brake and Dsc (skid control) if they work then forget, see the lights on the dash. Could be low pad, sensor fault etc but most likely not the problem. The engine system fault is the most likely area to look. Obviously check the usual fluids, oils etc.
This is a common fault often caused by low battery voltage, before you start taking expensive actions with the park brake modules etc get your battery checked for 100% efficiency.
Hope this helps, good luck.
Your problem is you have a bad connection somewhere like at parking lights/stoplights/rear lights/so what you do is remove all parking and rear lights then turn on indecators and check the lightsyou will find that one of them has a bad earth and when you put them back in the lights flash dimmly and thats the one with a bad connection or a bad earth going to that light.
Let me know if you still have a problem Ron
there is a problem with your abs sensor ....sounds like the sensor is applying the breaks for you when it shouldn't ....have a mech. look at it ...the e- brake issue could be causing a fault in the system ....all the symptoms may be the car.s computer,s way of telling you there is a problem "please bring me in "
