Idealing issues 95 buick regal gran sport... i was idealing at a red light and when it turned green i started to go but it sputtered to a stop... i replaced the fuel filter which was clogged pretty much completly. and can hear the fuel pump turning on and puttin pressure to the engine...it will start up some of the time and i can keep it running as long as im on the gas alil bit... as soon as it ideals out, it stalls out... what else could be the problem??

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

Have you determined if it is loosing spark when it dies ?
Any check engine trouble codes ?

your engine rellay its getting hot check for open wire or even cheaper change rellay

did you check the battery cables. make sure they are tight.

Brake light switch. Should be against brake pedal arm under dash. May be loose or need adjusting.

it might be a bad ignition moduale. or could be a bad ignition coil

Not likely getting a bad TPS.Your TPS runs off a 5volt reference wire.Using multimeter with key on engine off Check to make sure you have your 5volt reference check for any deformed terminals or broken wires inside insulation.

There's a switch in your steering column. must be replaced
