Mine has the same problem. Not in the sun any more than normal and I do cover the dash . Just out of Warranty $65,000 miles on it. How many complaints have to be filed to determine it is a manufacture defect?
Good news!! Infiniti is extending warranties on the dash bubbling problem -> http://www.infinitiscene.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8697
Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a proposed class action lawsuit against Infiniti (Nissan North America) for selling FX35 and FX45 model vehicles to consumers with dashboards prone to bubbling on the surface. It is believed that these Infinitis were outfitted with an insufficient and/or defective solvent used to adhere the dashboard cover material to the dash structure. Over time, this solvent has been known to release thereby allowing the dashboard cover material to bubble on the surface. This defect may cost consumers approximately $1200 for a dashboard replacement and ultimately diminish the value of such vehicles.

I also have this problem. I have a 06 FX 35. There is a problem and Infiniti needs to do the the right thing and correct the problem. Gayla from Marietta, GA
I agree with Tony Reeves, Nissan is a fraud and should not sell or advertise their so-called luxury cars on TV in the USA. I worked hard to invest in my Infiniti FX 35 (2005). I bought it brand new from a dealership in 2006. So even though I only owned it for 7 years, the extended warranty only covers 8 years and I missed it by 2 months and 28 days. I don't understand why there is not a class action law suit against INFINITI on tis. Obviously they have duped the american public and they are not standing by their product. We are left to hold the sh_ t-bag. This is an issue that is all over and who can even say that the replacement dashboard they are putting into these other cars will not bubble in a few years. The fact that my car took 8 years to bubble is an issue. I usually keep my cars for 10+ years and there have been no issues. I am so mad that Infiniti is sticking me with this. I hope more people write and complain. I hope that the US Consumer Affairs see this as a continuous issue and does something about it. I will never buy an Infiniti a Nissan car again. Before this all happened, I was thinking of trading up to a JX, but not in this lifetime!
Nissan is a fraud. Afraid of US consumers they replaced defected dashboards for models 03-08. But outside US; they simply ignore the subject. Their stealerships rip off customers to replace the dash. I will spend every free time t name and shame Nissan. Lousy pirate company. I will ensure it is boycott in every socienty. Sad for them, I am a technical person and alot of people listen to me. If I say Nissan seats cause skin cancer; people will take it forgranted...
My Infinity FX 35 year 2005 with 65000 MI on it has severe dashboard bubbling.
It occurs when it had only 25-30000 on it. I've just discovered that's manufacturer's defect. It costs a significant out of pocket to replace the dashboard and should be recalled by Infinity.

My Infiniti 2004 is doing the same thing. Dealer refuses to repair it because just out of warranty. Everyone needs to call Infiniti Consumer Affairs at 800-662-6200. Maybe with enough calls, they will do a recall.
wharrison4: Nissan is a fraud. you just keep name and shame them..they sold millions of defected cars. Nissan Cefiro(maxima) for example, has a defect in its air mass sensor making it one of the highest fuel wasters in the world...engine is so complicated that if you want to service any thing it wall take money and time to do it..just try to change at least fuel filter and see...Nissan has no consumer responsibility and should be boycotted.
