Sorry I can't be much help by telling you the ISO metric standard size of a bolt (setscrew) with a 10mm head is a 6mm diameter (usually 6 x 1 (the 1 being the thread pitch)).
It gets more complicated when very few vehicle batteries are held down by 6mm bolts and 8mm is more usual (12 or 13mm head).
This is so far so simple - except car manufacturers have sort of thrown away the ISO metric book of rules and in efforts to reduce weight and to make it easier for robots and automatic machinery to assemble vehicles, they often use bolts with reduced head sizes so for the last 2 or 3 decades encountering an 8mm bolt with a 10mm head is common.
Try measuring the hole in the battery hold down bracket with a series of drill bits...

your cars battery might only need charging or battery acid replacement, but if you'd realy wish to buy new one, buy one with the same size and voltage and amps as the one you have right now, or you could buy a battery with the same voltage with a higher amppere-hour (Ah) rating!
