If the thermostat doesn't fix the heating problem check all of your hose clamps. the factory clamps are the hard mounted ones. if they break it appears that they are tight however when the line heats up it allows the coolant to spill.

Lincoln LS V8 2003 car engine light on and starts to over heat when starting the car after 10 min it raises higher and getting hot but turn off the car for 10 min and drive again it is fine nothing seems...

Light on means codes are stored. There are well over 800 possible codes so guessing is a waste of time. Overheating could be caused by a radiator fan issue. But keep driving it like that and you'll soon be looking a a MAJOR repair for blown head gaskets. Overheating is #1 cause of gasket problems.

Lincoln LS 2000 keeps over heating. Changed thermostat. Still overheating!

Could be several things - you will need to figure out if the cooling system is working or if the engine is producing extra heat such as with a restricted exhaust.
Check the radiator fan and the water pump.

do you have heat when it is overheating? if not sounds like a head gasket. if u do have heat i would check the front of the radiator to see if it has debris stuck to the front of it

My lincoln ls 2000 overheats

Based on little detail, i would say that you need to replace your thermostat if finding anti freeze or spill check for cracked or damaged holes. Car running fine just over heating thermostat for sure.

is your temperature gauge drop closer to "C" when the vehicle is moving at high speeds?? If so, this may be a stuck open thermostat, or missing thermostat. Replace to prevent this issue. Hopefully this helpd!!

2000 lincoln ls heater not working...thermostat?

- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.
