there may be a white decal on the upper rad support that shows the belt routing if its still there.i`m assuming that the belt is off and you need to know how it goes back on,if not then draw the routing on a piece of paper or go to a parts store they may have the diagram there or go to a library and look for it in the auto books.
The 1994 Oldsmobile 88 does not have a cam/timing belt. It uses a chain so I am assuming you are talking about the serpentine belt. There should be a routing diagram of the serpentine belt under the hood somewhere. May be on the underside of the hood or on the radiator mount. Also can be found in your owner's manual. If the belt came of you need to find out why. Either the belt is worn out or the tensioner is defective or both. I would suggest you replace the belt for sure. Here is a diagram of the routing of the belt on your 1994 Olds 88 with 3.8 V6.
Be vary careful I think that it may have a reverse flow water pump. You can install the belt two different ways. Both will work but the wrong way will shorten you engine life a whole lot. Try your local library for a book on you car.
There should be a decal on the underside of the hood or on the fan shroud. If not, a local library should have a repair manual available. There are different configurations available on an Olds.
There should be a diagram under the hood that shows you how to route the belt, If no diagram, All your major auto parts stores have web sites you can go to to get detailed instructions and diagrams to do it.
The belt routing diagram is located on the top radiator cross member by the hood latch. You should see it when you open the hood. If it is not there, all Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth minivans, from 1993 to at least 1999, used the same 3.3L engine setup, so find someone with one and look for the diagram where I described.
