Best bet is get a WIRING DIAGRAM. you should have current (12 volts) on both sides of the fuse that works the tailights.if not there is probably a broken wire or a shorted wire leading up to the fuse. you kinda need the wiring diagram so u can see in which order the current "flows" which will help point u in the right direction.

I have a f 250 superduty 7.3 1999 , the rear running lamps are not working but all others do. please help i 've checked fuses but didnt find any bad , also replaced bulbs just in case

Had a similar problem with my 97 power stroke. somehow the plug in the wiring harness below the bed at the rear of the truck vibrated loose I had all lights but brake lights. Or it may be a ground wire issue. Good luck. Let us know how it works out.

Usually cleaning them doesn't work very well. You may need to replace it with a new part.

Rear running lights don't work, but brake lights still come on. is there a fuse for this?

Yes and it may be the bulbs. In the Econoline there are tow bulbs. One is for the constant on of the running lights and the other is for the Turn/Brake light.
