First...... remove spare wheel cover..2 small plastic srewheads on the bottom of tire. open and pull gently on the tire cover
Second... Remove wheel nuts and there is your spare tire!

the montero spare cover is a two pc cover the keepers go into the pc that is mounted under the tire,before you try to put the cover on look at the other pc and see where the slots are,to make it easier to install get the tire and the cover soaked with water so it can slide easier,put the retainers into the slots and turn 90 degrees-good luck
