The rear suspension is down on my 1999 Ford Expedition - Eddie Bauer. The cause: while out in the woods I came across a small dip which cause my back left wheel to lift off the ground. The suspension system caused the rear to pump up to the max. I placed a small rock (4'' tall) under the left rear wheel and the Expedition backed out easily. The rear was still at max height. I then heard air exhausting from the front then the rear suspension sat down. I shut the down the engine then restarted. The compressor did not start. I went home. I exchaged the air compressor with a known good used one. It worked; however, the rear suspension is still down. The compressor runs constanly (2 -5 minutes) but the rear is still down.

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.

I have a 1999 ford expedition Eddie bauer and my air ride suspension pump is coming on about every 10 minutes or so.this is not normal.what's wrong? What do I check first?

Your air suspension is leaking, could be a air bag or line or a fitting or a dump valve. Get a spray bottle full of soapy water and start spraying down the air ride components and watch for bubbles.

How do i find the location neutral switch on a 1999 Ford expedition eddie bauer 5.5 liter 2 wheel drive

It's on the side of the transmission under the drivers door. The shift cable runs to the control arm it is under.

Air suspenion light says air suspenion is off how do i turn it back on 2 0007 expedition eddie byer 4 wheeh drive

If you recently had your vehicle serviced, it is a safety practice to turn off the suspension. The switch should be located behind a small access panel in the cargo area of your Expedition. The switch is usually on the Drivers side and paired up with the fuel pump Inertia switch. If you do not see it on the rear quarterpanel interior panel, try the passengers side. Do not confuse the solid plastic access panel with the Stero speaker cover.

A second type of control appeared in 2007 in Navigators. Yours is a sister vehicle. The off/on controls can be in the message center and you toggle the controls with the dash buttons.

The air suspension does have a fuse, but usually this does not break unless there is a problem. You can take it to a repair facility having a Air Suspension scanner, which can diagnose a hidden problem immediately.

Location of Shift Solenoid in 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer?

They are round "cans" with wires attached. You should have SSA, SSB, SSC, Torque converter and Pressure Control solenoids. They control pressures and have no mechanical linkage.

'99 eddie bauer, cold air in the rear hot air in

you may just be low on freon. The rear will often work ok when low, but the front won't

The same compressor serves both front and rear systems. Check that first.

ALso, check to see if your front blend door rotates when you raise & lower the temperature.
